U-SEEE is pleased to announce the selection of Thuy Doan, MPH, as our first U-SEEE Fellow

Initial award period: January 8, 2009-January 7, 2010

Thuy is a first-year PhD student in Environmental Health Sciences. In December 2008 Thuy completed her MPH in Environmental Health Sciences with a major in Infectious Disease. Summer 2008 Thuy served as an intern for the Avian Influenza Antiviral State Allocation, where she will return for summer 2009. In addition, she has experience in multicultural health, mentoring Vietnamese students, and leadership with student and community organizations.

As a U-SEEE Fellow, Thuy is involved in research around education and training and will take part in Preparedness, Response, and Recovery courses at the Public Health Institute.
