Minnesota Emergency Readiness Education and Training (MERET) and Minnesota Department of Health are partnering to hold a series of trainings around the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP). HSEEP is a capabilities-based exercise program with the purpose of building self-sustaining exercise programs and providing a standardized methodology for designing, conducting, and evaluating all exercises. These 4-hour face-to-face trainings are conducted regionally throughout the state of Minnesota. Participants will receive a basic overview of HSEEP and learn about HSEEP-compliant exercise meetings, planning, and evaluation, including After-Action Reports and improvement planning. These trainings are an orientation and do not replace participation in the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management's two-day HSEEP Training, which participants should plan to attend in 2008.
