About the Center

Since 2001 the Midwest Center for Life-Long-Learning in Public Health has served to strengthen the current and future public health workforce. The MCLPH is funded in part by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as a member of the national network of Public Health Training Centers.

MCLPH provides a forum for the development of new educational opportunities, dialogue about the development of excellence in public health practice, and assessment and evaluation of the needs of public health professionals and systems. MCLPH is comprised of faculty and staff from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, partners from the Minnesota Department of Health, North Dakota Health Department, and the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. Leadership for the Center is provided by the Executive Committee and the Advisory Cooperative Board, which has a broad membership that includes partners from other academic institutions.
