Continuing Education Record

This program provides up to 21 hours of professional continuing education (2.1 CEUs). It is designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements.

Registration and Fees

Deadline: July 16, 2007
Register online

The registration fee for the Institute is $200 and includes all program sessions, instructional materials, readings and continuing education record plus continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks each day.

Payment can be made by credit card or by check (payable to the University of Minnesota).  Registration can also be made by purchase order billing to your agency or a funding organization.

Registration refunds are only made if written cancellation is received by July 16, 2007. An administrative fee of $50 is charged on cancellations. A full refund of fees paid is made if the program is not held. The University of Minnesota reserves the right to cancel the program if necessary.

You are encouraged to register early, as enrollment is limited.  The registration deadline is July 16, 2007.  To register after this date, please call 612-624-3029 for space availability.

Graduate Credit Options

The Institute may be taken for two graduate credits through the University of Minnesota or Hamline University.  Registration procedures are as follows:

Register for University of Minnesota Graduate Credit
Two semester graduate credits are available as course number Nurs 5604. Graduate tuition for this course is $1550.34 plus an Institute fee of $150 (materials and food service) and other University of Minnesota fees that apply. Students admitted to a University of Minnesota degree program must follow University of Minnesota registration procedures and deadlines for Summer Session. Registration for this course is a two step process as follows:

Admitted students

Non admitted students may also register for graduate credit as follows:

  • Complete the "Request for Graduate Credit Form." Indicate your preference for grade option and sign the form. Submit the registration to the attention of Jenna Baumgartner via fax (612-626-3467) or by U.S. mail to School of Nursing, 5-160 Weaver Densford Hall, 308 Harvard St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455
  • Next, go to http://ustar.ahc.umn.edu/register_event.cfm to complete a second registration form required for fees payment or you may complete the registration form and return by mail or fax with fees payment of $150 to the CPHEO registrar.

Register for Hamline University Graduate Credit
Two semester graduate credits are available. In addition, students are required to pay the full Institute fee of $200. Graduate tuition is $220, payable the first day of the Institute.

  • To register online go to http://ustar.ahc.umn.edu/register_event.cfm or complete the registration form and send by mail or fax with the Institute registration fee of $200. Indicate on the form that you will be registering for Hamline University Graduate Credit.
  • On the first day of the Institute, register for Hamline credit and pay the tuition of $220. Payment can be made by check or credit card.

The institute will be held at the Minnesota Department of Education in the Conference Center B located at 1500 Highway 36 West, Roseville, Minnesota 55113.  A map and driving directions will be provided with your registration confirmation.
