Emergency Readiness Rounds
Minnesota Disaster Response: Lessons Learned in 2007

This event was held on March 5, 2007.

The presentation will be available online in April.

Audience

Public health and healthcare professionals/staff, Medical Reserve Corps members, emergency management staff, first-responders, mental/behavioral health workers, students, faculty, and others interested in disaster preparedness.

As a result of this training, participants can learn to:

  • Describe insights gained and how they could be applied to future emergency/crisis situations.
  • Identify how lessons learned apply to their organization.
  • Share lessons learned with their organization.
  • Discuss the roles of volunteers in disaster responses.
  • Describe lessons learned/challenges in coordinating or participating in a multi-agency response.

Accreditation

0.15 CEUs will be given; designed to meet the requirements of the Minnesota Board of Nursing for 1.5 contact hours.
