Featured Speaker

Will Hueston, DVM, an internationally recognized expert on bovine spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease), is the director of the University of Minnesota Center for Animal Health and Food Safety and a professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine and School of Public Health. Dr. Hueston holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a PhD in epidemiology from Ohio State University. His career has spanned both the private and public sectors. In recognition of his professional achievements, Dr. Hueston has received awards from the National Academy of Practice, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Ohio State University Distinguished Alumni, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Special Recognition Award.
