MS Excel is required for students who take PubH 6414 via distance. You can order it from the University of Minnesota bookstore at a student rate. Be sure you have the Data Analysis plug-in.

Public Health Emergency Training (PHET)
The University of Minnesota Public Health Emergency Training (UM PHET) is a series of awareness-level online educational modules covering various topics related to emergency preparedness. Modules currently available are Special Populations and Contact Investigation; Disease Surveillance; Isolation and Quarantine; and Disaster Mental Health. Additional modules to be released in fall 2005 are Personal Protective Equipment; and Decontamination. These modules are designed to contribute to the development of a subset of the Bioterrorism/Emergency Readiness Competencies created by Columbia University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
